What welfare schemes Indian government launched for tribes during last 3 years?

A total number of 801 workshops/ symposiums/ seminars/ training programmes have been organized by various Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs) supported by the Government during the last three years and the current year.

A total amount of Rs.35.64 crore have been released to these TRIs and an amount of Rs.25.14 crore have been utilized during the last three years and the current year.

Various activities such as skill development, Craft Mela, exhibitions and exposure programmes for tribal artists and artisans, computer basics, weaving technology, beautician skills, awareness camps on education and health etc. for tribal people have been undertaken through these TRIs.

This information was given by Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Jaswantsinh Bhabhor in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
