CCTV cameras in ladies compartment of 4 Mumbai local trains (EMUs) installed on trial basis

For security of women passengers, CCTV cameras have already been installed in the ladies compartment of 3 Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) rakes of Western Railway and 1 EMU rake of Central Railway on trial. Provision of CCTV cameras in the ladies compartment of 50 EMU coaches each of Western Railway and Central Railway has also been sanctioned. Proliferation of CCTV cameras in local trains of Mumbai shall be a continual process as per annual budgetary provisions and experience gained.
