Indian Air Force evacuate injured bus passengers in Chattisgarh

On the midnight of 04/05 May 16 a major bus accident happened 200 km north of Raipur (Chhattisgarh). Request for casualty evacuation was received and Indian Air Force responded promptly wherein two Mi-17 helicopters were launched within an hour to evacuate critically injured passengers from the accident site. The Advanced Landing Ground at Ambikapur was used for this purpose. Thirteen critically injured passengers were evacuated to Raipur.
